CHURCH OF CHOBHAM
St Lawrence Church stands in the centre of Chobham village. this ancient Church is dedicated to St. Lawrence, a martyr of Rome, who died in 257 A.D.. The church itself dates back to 1080. The long and interesting history of the church can be read here:
We hold three services in the parish.
08:00: Traditional service (no music)
10:30: Common Worship Eucharist (first Sunday month there is often a service of the word with a baptism)
Please note that the 08:00 is for those wishing to wear masks.
The 10:30 masks are worn when entering, exiting or moving around the church. Masks are also worn when sining hymns. Masks can be removed when sitting in the pews.
Church OF VALLEY END
St. Saviour's church in Valley End celebrated its 150 year anniversary in 2017. This Victorian church was built to meet the religious needs of Valley End by the Hon Mrs Julia Seymour Bathurst as well as to support the school built only a few years before.
